but the damage itself isn’t actually delayed. Samurai and zealot can keep you fighting after damage for lengths of time. just some effects that delay specific effects damage will take on a PC. I can think of no ways to delay damage taken. While we might tend to make a decision to move a distance in those circumstances as a player and thus speed up the interaction by rolling all damage at once after the move, it does say that it happens every movement increment. I would also compare it to the way spike growth interacts with movement. When a barbarian who follows this path rages, the barbarian contacts the spirit world and calls on these guardian spirits for aid. While I don’t have any concrete reference, I do believe that interpretation would fall in line with intent. My interpretation would be that you take the damage as you move, thereby mitigating it.
